How to Renew Your Ohio Liquor Permit Online

James Niekamp

It's that time of year again.

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code (R.C.) 4303.27, all permits renew annually at one of three points depending on location and/or type of permit. The three renewal periods are February 1st, June 1st, or October 1st.

You can now renew your Ohio liquor permit online, using the following link: https://lps.com.ohio.gov/Renewal/signup.

In order to renew online, the permit holder will just need their permit number (which can be found here), and an email address to set up an account.

The Ohio Division of Liquor Control also provides a detailed renewal guide, and resources for filing renewal applications here, including a map showing a breakdown of renewal dates by County.

Lastly, keep in mind that unresolved tax issues could impact renewal of a liquor permit. It is highly advisable to stay on top of tax issues associated with a liquor permit and resolve well in advance for renewal due dates.
